Congratulations, 2018 ADDY Award Winning Client Partners!

Every year, the American Advertising Federation holds the American Advertising Awards (ADDYs), the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition. This year, our local Toledo chapter’s event was held at the Valentine Theatre on Thursday, February 22, and two of our client partners were among the celebrated winners.

Therma-Tru, a leading entry door manufacturer, received a Bronze ADDY for their completely redesigned website. Working very closely with the Therma-Tru team, Hanson developed educational and inspirational content, an interactive Design Your Door feature, and multiple browsing paths, all focused on helping homeowners build confidence in designing a great entrance for their home.

LifeFormations, an art and animatronic fabrication studio, received a Judge’s Choice Award and a Gold ADDY Award for their new website. Hanson redesigned the site to emphasize the delight their services create, and give them a more engaging way of featuring project stories.

ADDYs Judge Kim Oermann, Creative Director of Michigan-based branding and digital agency Moncur, selected this entry as her personal favorite. “LifeFormations’ work is pretty attention-grabbing on its own—it’s fun, whimsical, and unexpected,” she said. “Their website, however, is incredibly simple, and I think the choice to maintain the simplicity is what makes it successful. Messaging, image treatment, color, type…it all compliments and highlights this client’s ability to create without overshadowing or convoluting it. It’s straightforward, yet delightful, and I’d imagine that’s exactly the brand experience that LifeFormations was looking to convey.”

In addition, the Hanson team was excited to showcase our creative services by planning, designing, and executing all the creative for this year’s event—including this introduction video:

Congratulations to our great partners at Therma-Tru and LifeFormations, and thank you to our internal teams who worked so hard to produce notable work this past year!
