Meet a Hansonite: Jordan Rees
Welcome to the third installment of our “Meet a Hansonite” blog series! In this series, we’ve been interviewing fellow Hansonites to learn a little about their background, passions outside of work, and discover what they like most about being part of the Hanson family. Today, we’re chatting with Jordan Rees, Account Executive.
Sally: How long have you been at Hanson?
Jordan: Just over a year now. I started here in March of 2017.
Sally: What’s your role here? Describe what you do.
Jordan: I am an Account Executive. In short, myself and the other client services members act as liaisons between the clients and production team members. We work with our clients to understand and identify their marketing and digital needs with the goal to set up our own production team members for success in generating the best solution for those challenges.
Sally: What are 3 things you love the most about your job?
Jordan: I love our wide range of capabilities as a company, and how many different industries our clients span. Which really sets up my third answer, which is that no day or project here is really the same as the last. Each day is interesting and presents new opportunities.
Sally: Here at Hanson, our core values are: Be Yourself, Own the Adventure, Stay Curious, Get Emotional, and Embrace Family. Which one do you most resonate with and why?
Jordan: I would say “Stay Curious” because I love to learn about new things, and working at Hanson gives us all the opportunity to learn about new technology and other industries.
Sally: Speaking of learning opportunities, do you have a favorite newspaper or blog you read regularly?
Jordan: Bleacher Report for sports, Complex for culture, and Ad Age for business.
Sally: What could we find you doing when you’re not working?
Jordan: I love sports and play in hockey and beach volleyball leagues. I also love remodeling-related projects. I’m currently working on a vintage motorcycle, and my fiance and I are wrapping up our fifth real estate renovation project.
Sally: That explains why you’re so active on Houzz! Before working at Hanson, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Jordan: Right out of college, for almost a year, I sold truck equipment, like dump truck beds and snow plows.
Sally: Interesting! Thinking of what you do now and the various work experiences you’ve had, how would you describe Hanson in 3 words?
Jordan: Clever, inquisitive, and innovative.
Sally: Thanks, Jordan!
