Android Stats For Hanson Apps, Q3 2015

Are you ready for the latest Android trends? Here we are again with our quarterly statistics for Q3 2015 as we continue to develop new apps and test the latest devices.

Let’s look at a comparison of Android devices used to access Hanson-developed apps during Q2 of 2015 and Q3 of 2015. Of the 159 devices we’ve logged (out of thousands on the market), Samsung Galaxy devices continue to lead. The Samsung Galaxy S5 has the highest percentage of use at 16.2%, with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy SIV not far behind.

And here is how the popularity of Android versions has  shifted from the second quarter (April through June 2015) to the third (July through September 2015):

As you can see, version 5.0 took the lead at 51.3%, with the newly released 5.1 making a jump to 14.1%. We’ll be interested to see how this landscape changes once more devices upgrade to Android 6.0.
