Where there’s smoke, there’s the strength and courage of the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department. But fighting fire is only the beginning of their valiant efforts. More often they’re providing emergency medical services as first responders and leading community education programs, and they needed a website they could trust to support those efforts. So Hanson developed a site that highlights the Department’s full range of services and honors the men and women who serve. In keeping with the Department’s high standards of professionalism, the site is responsive to the size of any device and is built on a content management system that is easily updated for maximum accuracy.

In tandem with the site development, Hanson filmed a moving documentary of the dedication ceremony, on September 12, 2012, of the Department’s newest Fire Station. The ceremony featured a tribute to firefighters from Toledo who joined the rescue efforts in New York City after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack.

Hanson also assisted the Department in the development of a social engagement strategy, beginning with a Facebook page that is successfully building strong relationships with the public.
