ProMedica, a nonprofit health system in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, partnered with Hanson to redesign their website. Before beginning the redesign, Hanson started with a strategic planning process that included assessment of all digital properties in order to define a Digital Roadmap to support this well-connected brand strategy. After conducting research with physicians, patients, and employees, ProMedica and Hanson aligned on an effort to rebuild the website and create two new digital platforms:, and a new mobile app.

Recognizing that a truly patient-centered ecosystem must support a wide range of tasks, the new site meets the health care consumer at every point in the patient journey. Helpful tools like physician and clinic locators, online bill pay, and health screening event listings join all-new educational content about disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment options, available support services, and even suggestions for how to support family members with various health conditions. Site-within-a-site navigation surfaces deep content for individual hospitals and major service lines and facilitates targeted marketing campaigns. The site is content managed to allow the ProMedica team to develop new content and maintain accurate data, with a robust metrics implementation to track activity and provide insights for continuous improvement.
